Joe Bergeron is a software developer for Golden Software who specializes in C++, GIS technologies, and cross-platform development. He graduated from Iowa State with a degree in Computer Science and before joining the team in 2023 he spent over a decade working on real-time mapping engines and GIS-related technologies.

Outside of work Joe enjoys spending time with his family, friends, and cat Houdini. He has passion for vintage electronics that he pursues by restoring and modifying synthesizer and drum machines, as well as by playing retro video games. You may also find Joe out in nature backpacking or engaged in a DIY woodworking project.

Joe plays the guitar left-handed, similar to Jimi Hendrix… only in configuration though, not quite the talent.

His son arrived five weeks early, one hour before midnight, on New Year’s Eve, adding an unexpected twist to the celebration.
